I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Economics at Vanderbilt University. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University. I received my PhD from the University of Rochester in 2018. My research studies political institutions, in particular, how to design them in order to improve policymaking. Substantively, my work focuses on bureaucratic politics and lobbying in the United States. In other research, I analyze bargaining in international conflict.
