I am a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Rochester. My main research and teaching interests are American politics and formal political theory. More specifically, my research focuses on government agencies, with an emphasis on interactions between the bureaucracy and other American political institutions. I study how these interactions impact the development of polices and final policy outcomes. In other work, I study the influence of interest groups in different policymaking settings. Finally, another strand of my research looks at how the different policy goals of nations and leaders affect international conflict. A copy of my CV is here.
